TR Warszawa at Holland Festival
GIOVANNI by Grzegorz Jarzyna will be presented in Amsterdam at Holland Festival on 22 and 23 June. The Polish theatre company has been invited to the festival by its artistic director Pierre Audi. Jarzyna will be meeting with the audience after the last performance.
Holland Festival is the biggest and the oldest visual arts festival in Holland. Last year’s edition attracted over 70 thousand visitors! Held annually since 1947, the festival has been presenting the best artists and the most impressive performances, films, music, dance and other multimedia presentations. Such pieces as War Requiem by Benjamin Britten or Helicopter String Quartet by Karl Stockhausen were first performed there. Since 1950 the festival has been also presenting independent art as part of projects such as EarFuel, EyeFuel and MindFuel. Pierre Audi calls it a space with a panoramic view at the most important cultural events in Europe, one that brings together different art forms: music, theatre, dance, opera, literature and visual arts.
