Grzegorz Jarzyna awarded by the Minister of Culture

Grzegorz Jarzyna has just received the award attributed annually by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for the most outstanding artistic achievements of the year. The award ceremony was held in the Potocki Palace (Pałac Potockich) in Warsaw on 14th June.

The Annual Minister’s Award has been handed out since 1997 to all the artists and culture animators for the total of their achievements and activities in their field in a given year. This highly prestigious prize allows the Minister of Culture and National Heritage to express his support to the most interesting and important artistic phenomena in contemporary Polish culture and to honor those who make them happen.

Among other this year’s winners are: Agata Buzek, Andrzej Bart, Paweł Althamer, Borys Lankosz and Krzysztof Warlikowski. The award for lifetime achievement was given to Tadeusz Konwicki and Tomasz Stańko.
