Aleksandra Konieczna
Graduate of the State Higher School of Theatre (PWST) in Warsaw. She co-operated with the Contemporary and Dramatic Theatre. Since 2000 she has been working for TR Warszawa.
She received her first distinction already in 1988 for her diploma performance part Sheer Madness / Czyste szaleństwo. Significant artistic achievements are connected with the time when she worked in the Dramatic Theatre. Working with Piotr Cieplak she played Maria Magdalena and Wife in the famous Historyja o Chwalebnym Zmartwychwstaniu Pańskim based on Mikołaj from Wilkowiecko and in Crusades by Białoszewski. In The Return of Odysseus directed by Krystian Lupa she played Penelope, and in the Brokenhorst’s Unidentified Human Remains based on Brad Frazer - Benito.
In TR Warszawa she played: Aleksanda Jepanczyn in Prince Myshkin based on Dostoievski – directed by Mikołaj Warianow (Grzegorz Jarzyna), Mette w Rukov/Vinterberg’s The Celebration directed by H7 (Grzegorz Jarzyna) and Lady Macbeth in 2007:Macbeth directed by Grzegorz Jarzyna.
In 2004 within the framework of TEREN WARSZAWA project she directed Ivan Vyrypayev’s Oxygen, which was staged outside the theatre. Within the framework of TR/PL project she also directed the performance Helena S. based on the play of Monika Powalisz.
She also played in films, among others in: Mascarade by Janusz Kijowski, Life for a Life by Krzysztof Zanussi, Transformations by Łukasz Barczyk or in Skaza/Defect by Marcin Wrona.
